How to spot them
A fast, flat, many-legged runner that darts along baseboards or across the garage floor at night — usually after other bugs. You'll find them in cool, damp corners: under sinks, in crawlspaces, around floor drains.
Why they show up in the Central Valley
Centipedes follow moisture and prey. Valley summers drive them into the cool humidity of garages, bathrooms, and crawlspaces, especially in homes with heavy irrigation or evaporative coolers nearby.
What you can do right now
Run a dehumidifier or fan in damp rooms, fix slow leaks, and clear leaf litter and stored boxes off the garage floor. Fewer hiding bugs indoors also means less for centipedes to hunt.
How Cornerstone handles it
Perimeter treatment keeps centipedes outside, and controlling the insects they feed on removes the reason they came in. They're covered on every visit of your regular service.
